How Can I Help?

A client once remarked that "Whether it's a plumber or a pedicure, Dru knows where to find the best one!"   Before, during and after our real estate transaction is completed, it is my pleasure to offer considered opinions and suggestions based on personal experiences with everything from A Basin to the best venue for enjoying the Zac Brown Band!  And sometimes I can offer you a special discount with a vendor - please feel FREE to ask me about that!

A few of my favorite things, people, vendors, businesses, etc... are listed below, in no particular order- but if "the thing" you're looking for isn't represented below - or you're just in a hurry - please feel free to text or call me directly at 970.310.8250.  I'm always happy to do what I can to help you on your way to living well in northern Colorado!

Best source for local/organic and grassfed meats, eggs and dairy  - www.eatwild.com   We are so lucky to have great food grown/raised locally!  Laughing Goat Farm is a great place to get fresh eggs, too...and check out any/all of our local CSAs and farmer's markets for the best produce year round!

Best carpet & upholstery cleaner in Fort Collins - Full House Carpet Cleaning  Robert does all the cleaning personally and is always thorough and professional.  Can't speak highly enough of his work!  He'll even clean carpets on Sundays if you say please!

Best Mexican Food - La Buena Vida  (if it's not on the menu, ask for the camarones in the chipotle cream sauce...though some days I opt for the spinach and mushroom rellenos)  The house margarita is perfect for me... not too sweet!  And Thursday is 2 for 1.. Give me some notice and I'll meet you on the patio!

Best Paleo Restaurant -  Bloomin Beets Kitchen in Boulder Colorado.   They serve grain free, grass fed, gluten free food prepared fresh every day!  And they have a great meal plan service, too, for those who just don't like to cook, don't want to cook, or don't know how!  The menu changes fairly often, but I've enjoyed all my meals!  If you're trying to eat "Clean" in Fort Collins, check out Restaurant 415 located at 415 Mason St. (but not on Mondays, cuz they are closed that day ::sigh:: )

Best Kale Chips  - Do kale chips really deserve a post all their own?   Yes.  They really, really do.   And the best in Colorado are in Boulder at The Kitchen Next Door.  They arrive hot from the deep fryer and are crispy melty salty pieces of goodness.  Share this dish with 2-3 friends to avoid feeling queasy... don't say I didn't warn you :)  My only complaint about them is that they are not offered at The Kitchen in Fort Collins.  <insert frownie face here>   Walk ins only, no reservations... and live music on Wednesday nights!

Best Hardware Store - I confess that I'm a big fan of Clay's Ace Hardware on Harmony Road near Lemay in Fort Collins - or any Ace Hardware, really...  They are awesome at giving back to the community and always seem to have what I need.  And you can bring your dog with you and they'll give him free popcorn!  Maybe that's not important to you.. but it is to my dog :)

Best Heating, Plumbing & Air Conditioning service in the northern area is Ace Hi Plumbing in Loveland, CO.  It's a small outfit, but offers fair pricing, fast service, knowledgable staff - what more can you ask for?

Best Place to Listen to Music? Well.... that kinda depends on the artist and your mood?  I highly recommend a little place called Red Rocks in Morrison, Planet Bluegrass in Lyons, Avo's in Fort Collins (really good tempeh, too), The Dickens in Longmont, and Shine in Boulder.  If your mode of transportation happens to be a kayak on the Poudre River, you'll want to stop by The Mish, for sure.

Speaking of Shine - it's also my Favorite Place to get Grain-free Pasta in the form of their Mushroom Stuffed Ravioli, which is made with Capello's Almond Pasta.  It's the bomb!   If you're not vegetarian spring for the short ribs to go with it.   Seriously delicious :)  If you're thirsty (and you should be - hydration is important!) order an "Empress" potion to go with it.  Resist the urge to add vodka or another liquor -  It's perfect just as it is... and yes, they really do have a sorcerer in house!
